Terms of use

Last updated October 17, 2026

These terms cover your use of homemaintlist. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. Please also read the privacy policy.

Your account

Use an email address you can receive mail at, and keep your password or Google or Apple sign-in secure. You're responsible for what happens in your account, including anything an AI assistant you've connected does on your behalf. Each account is for one person; to share a home, invite the other people to it.

Your content

The tasks, notes, history and assets you enter are yours. You let us store and process them only to run homemaintlist for you and the people you share homes with. Anyone in a shared home can see and change its tasks, history and assets, and a home's owner can transfer it, with everything in it, to someone else.

Maintenance information is general guidance

Task instructions, schedules and suggestions are general information, not professional advice, and may not suit your home, equipment or local codes. Some jobs involve electricity, gas, heights, tools or chemicals. Follow your equipment's instructions, take proper safety precautions, and hire a qualified professional if you're unsure. You decide whether and how to do any job, and you do it at your own risk.

Reminders

We try to send every reminder on time, but email can be delayed, filtered or lost. Don't rely on homemaintlist alone for anything that matters to your safety, such as testing smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.

Acceptable use

Don't use homemaintlist to break the law, send unwanted invitations, try to reach other people's data, interfere with the site or overload it, or scrape it. Connecting an AI assistant through our connector is fine.

Changes and availability

We may change, add or remove features, and we may suspend or end the service. homemaintlist is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from your settings. Inactive accounts are deleted as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, for damage to property or injury that results from doing or not doing maintenance, or for lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for homemaintlist in the 12 months before the claim, if anything.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use homemaintlist after a change means you accept the new terms.
