  • Remove all small items from the areas to be cleaned.
  • If possible, and for a more thorough cleaning, move furniture out of the way.
  • Vacuum the entire areas thoroughly.
  • Treat any spots with a spot cleaner per the instructions on the spot cleaner you have purchased.
  • Mix the cleaning solution into your carpet cleaner per the instructions.
  • Operate the carpet cleaner over all the areas you wish to clean.
  • Allow a couple hours of drying before placing furniture back on damp areas.
  • Mark this task complete.
